Norma Jean Bennett was born on August 16, 1955 to the late Mr. Willie D. Jackson and Zonie Mae Jackson. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Class of 1973. She retired from the health care profession after over 20 years of service with St. Vincent’s Medical Center receiving many awards for her services, dedication and work ethic. Norma had a smile that was so contagious when she walked into a room, the whole room lit up. She will truly be missed.
Norma passed away with family by her side at Kindred Hospital on Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie D. Jackson; mother, Zonie Mae Jackson and a brother, Eddie Dean Jackson.
Norma is survived by her children: Chandrell Howell (Raymond) and Natalie Nicole Bennett; granddaughter, Jasmine Howell; sister, Adilah Sharif (Omar); brothers, Willie Eugene Jackson (Patricia), Ernest Jackson and Julian Jackson(Lucy); aunt, Louise Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including five special friends that she wanted recognized especially: Tonya, Rosilyn, Gail, Maude and Lisa.
