Cassandra Barron Dukes was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 4, 1969 to her parents Lillie Mae Barron and Willie C. Barron, Sr. She confessed Christ at an early age uniting with Greater Silas Missionary Baptist Church, where she was baptized. Cassandra attended schools in Jacksonville, Florida and received her education at Andrew Jackson High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Edward Waters College, she also was a member of Zeta.
Cassandra later met and married Cleveland Dukes and from this union one daughter, La’Sandra Dukes was born.
Cassandra departed this life on May 19, 2018 and was preceded in death by her grandmothers, grandfathers, uncles, aunties, and brother in law.
Casandra affectionately known as “CoCo” leaves to cherish her memories: her loving parents, Lillie Mae and Willie C. Barron; husband, Cleveland Dukes; daughter, La’Sandra Dukes; granddaughters, Paris, London and Miracle; sisters, Willie Mae (Eugene) Barron Williams, Rose (Donald) Hamilton, Ethel Lee and Stephanie (Alton) Gary; sister- in-law, Serena Randall; brothers, Willie (Kristen) Barron, Jr. and John Barron; brother-in-laws, Donald Hamilton and Eugene Williams; a host of other nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
