Obituary for Carl Weston

Carl was born in Dawson, Georgia on June 26, 1932, his parents were Walter and Lora Weston. He attended Terrell County Schools. Carl served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean War 50th Anniversary Service Award, earning a Purple Heart. He worked for Delta Airlines for 35 plus years as a Sky Cap. He was a member of the Mason’s Lodge and the American Legion. Carl was a devoted husband and father.

Carl went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 28, 2018. He was surrounded by loved ones and caregivers during the last days of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lora Weston, M. J. Bob, Mattie Foster; wife, Odell; daughters, Shirley Solomon and Rosalind Weston Miller.

Carl is survived by his children, Sandra Weston, Ronnie Weston (Lynette), Carlean Wiggins, Tony Weston (Lisa) and Lisa Weston; siblings, Gloria Thompson (Dennis), Frank Hunter, Frankie McGill (Victor), Emma Julia Bob, Kenneth Hartsfield (Sandra), Mitrie Flournoy (Orian); grandchildren, Marchita Robinson, Detrick Robinson (Sharelle), Danielle Robinson, Benjamin Price, Earle Reese, Taneshia Sherman, Jamica Sherman, Leon Sherman, Jason Sherman, Erica Clark, Kevin Weston, Javaris Weston, Caranda Jackson, Jameil Wiggins, Cetonia Roy (Maxwell), Tony Weston, Jr. Taliyah Weston, Parris C. Jackson and Morgan Jackson; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
