Barbara Green, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on October 9, 2018

The visitation will be held on Saturday, October, 13, 2018 from 3-5:00pm at Funerals by T. S. Warden, 4315 North Main Street

Barbara was born in Metter, Georgia on March 15, 1939. She graduated from Candler County School.

Barbara retired from Duval County Public School district in 2003. She worked in food services for Lee High School the entirety of her career with DCPS. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a fond love for the LA Lakers while Kobe Bryant was playing.

Barbara is survived by her children, Avery Joe Grant, Karen Johnson (Harry) Ricky Grant (Vicky) and Joyce Reed (Bernard), her grandchildren: Natasha Grant, Mekeisha Grant, Ricky Grant, Jr., Rachaun Ephron, Ashli Price and LaToya Cook and her great grandchildren Avah Hoover, Aiden Hoover, Izaden Hoover, Rachaun Ephron jr., Jeremiah Ephron, Tyvarius Cook, Devonte Cook, Michael Fisher and Alajiah Rhodes and a number of family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Ruth Rankin.
