Obituary for Frederick Marcel Scott

Mr. Frederick Marcel Scott affectionately known to friends as “Fred” or “Rickey” was born August 30, 1960 in Jacksonville, Florida to Miss Theresa Scott. He graduated from Stanton High School and went on to serve his country as an Army National Guard. After an Honorable Discharge, Fred went on to work for the City of Jacksonville and CSI Geo in Jacksonville, Florida. His church affiliation was New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Kim Anderson.

Frederick departed this life on November 25, 2018. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard Scott and grandmother, Elizabeth Scott.

Frederick leaves to cherish his memory: his one and only child, Sharena Hall; a devoted and loving mother, Theresa Scott; three grandchildren, Lajazmyn Hall, Lataujah Hall, and Sammye Hall III; one great-grandson, Aayden Walton; two sisters, Rozella Johnson-Haney (Norman) and Elizabeth Hartley; three brothers, George Scott, Rodell Johnson and Lyndon Johnson; life partner, Sylvia Ann Arline; one stepson, Arthur Arline (Tameka); four step-grandchildren, Raekwon Arline, Jada Arline, Jade Arline and Jayren Arline; best friend, Erich Dennis; close friend, Evelyn Drayton; he also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.


The funeral service for Frederick Marcel Scott will be held 1:30PM, Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 2 - 7PM , Friday, November 30th, 2018 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street. Interment in Private.
