Obituary for Annette Elizabeth Botford

Mrs. Annette Elizabeth Botford daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hampton was born September 7, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the public schools of Duval County. At an early age Annette professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church where she maintained her membership for many years and served on the Usher Board. She retired from the Duval County School Board after 33 years of dedicated service. Her nurturing spirit, beautiful smile and love for God will live in the hearts of many forever.

Annette was united in holy matrimony to Robert Lee Botford in July of 1988. God blessed them to nurture two daughters and five grandchildren.

Annette departed this life on December 1, 2018. Her husband preceded her in death on July 6, 2015; she was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Hampton; two brothers, Theodore Hampton and Clemmie Hampton; two sisters, Geneva Hampton Parker and Betty Jean Hampton Holmes.

Annette leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted and loving family: her daughters, Lashay (Jonathan) Williams and Monique Beaver; brothers, John (Juanita) Simmons and Larry Hampton; grandchildren, Mil’Khia Spencer, Mikayla Spencer, Jonathan Williams, Jaliyah Williams and Jacoby Williams; godson, Curtis Knight; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Annette Elizabeth Botford will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 2 - 7PM, Friday, December 7th, 2018 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
