Obituary for Rosa Wright (8/1/1925)

Rosa was born August 1, 1925 in Four Oaks, North Carolina to Ms. Pearl Lee Cole. She has been retired for many years from a profession of cooking from places such as, Georgia Boys, Hogan St. Restaurant and The Terminal Restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida.

On January 5, 2019, God knew that she was weary and tired, and the battle had been fought and the victory was won, so he crowned her Heavenly Crown and Wings.

Rosa is preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Pearl Lee Cole; stepfather, John Cole, Sr.; brother, John Cole, Jr.; aunt, Pearl Bennett.

Rosa leaves to forever cherish her memories, her loving sister, Ms. Ernestine Cole; nine children, Patricia Turner, Yahya Kariem, James Sanders, Rosetta Sanders, Ronald Sanders (Jacquelyn), Patty Sanders-Jackson, Michael Sanders, RC Wright (Kendra) and Dewayne Wright; a host of 29 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, one, great great-grandchildren; one loving niece, Ms. Denise Williams; a loving companion of many years, Mr. Charlie Mungin.

The funeral service for Rosa Wright will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at the Greater Grant Memorial AME Church 5355 Gilchrist Road Jacksonville, FL 32219. The visitation will be 2:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, January 11th, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
