Mr. Warden is a Jacksonville native where he graduated from William M. Raines Sr. High School. He later attended and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta, Ga.
Tyrone followed in his grandfather's (Samuel C. Rogers, Jr), footsteps. Mr. Rogers started Tyrone working at a young age in their family funeral homes in the Jacksonville area - Dallas Graham & Rogers Funeral Home, Whittington & Rogers Funeral Home, Samuel C. Rogers & Sons, and Graham-Rogers Mortuary.
Tyrone wanted to explore and broadened his knowledge of the funeral industry. He was employed as a funeral director and manager and operations manager of several funeral homes in the Oakland, Richmand and Vallejo, Ca. area. He also served as funeral director and operations manager of 2 funeral homes in Greenville, SC area - Watkins,Garrett & Woods Mortuaries, Inc. - who are like an extended family.
Mr. Warden decided to rekindle his grandfathers legacy in Febuary 2001 and opened Funerals by T. S. Warden, where he and his staff continue the traditional funeral home with the hometown values that were established by his grandfather and other relatives in the industry before him. |
