On Sunday Morning March 22, 1970 at 9:46am in Jacksonville, Florida, David and Janice Williams welcomed their first born, a son, David Jerome Williams, Jr. It was the greatest joy two parents could have.
On Sunday Morning April 22, 2018 in Jonesboro, Georgia, 48 years and one month, God welcomed David Jr., spirit into his final home, Heaven. David Jr., was doing what he so much loved to do, enjoying his church, New Commandment Christian Church Praise Choir. Although his date of demise is listed on record as April 23, 2018 he became absent from this body and present with the Lord on April 22, 2018 when God stopped his brain from responding to this world. We saw a peace on his face.
While still on this earth David Jr., was known as TOOTIE, TOOKUM, DADA, and DAVE. To know him was to love him. He gave as well as received so much love.
Dave leaves his love to all, father, David J. Williams, Sr.; mother, Janice A. Williams; brother, Darry J; sisters, Davia J (deceased), Daria J, Daona J (Corey); grandmother, Inez T. Dave attended Holy Rosary Catholic grade and middle School in Jacksonville, Florida, High School at Bishop Kenny Catholic School and graduated from William M. Raines, Class of 1988. He moved to Savannah, Georgia to attend college, two years later, he became an Army Reservist and served for 8 years. He became an Assistant Store Manager at Pizza Hut in Savannah. At the encouraging of his sisters, he moved to the Atlanta area in 2001, where he became employed by Rite-Aid Pharmacy on May 1, 2007 as a Shift Supervisor. He held that position until his demise. Dave was dedicated to his job. For a period of time he was without a car so he caught two buses and the marta train to get to work, he never asked or wanted help.
Dave’s Christian walk, began at an early age where he was baptized at St Pius V. Catholic Church. Later after moving to the Atlanta area he became a member of New Commandment Christian Church, under the leadership of Pastor Gerald Bess (his cousin). Dave was a student of the Word, and loved to praise. His brother moved to the Atlanta area, they were living together. Dave, his brother and sisters had a special love and closeness for each other. They always took good care of one another.
We his parents love the scripture, 3 John verse 4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth”
THANK YOU DAVID JEROME WILLIAMS, JR. FOR YOUR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
