Obituary for Robert Lee Williams

Robert was born on August 23, 1942 to Benjamin Williams and Mary E. Williams in Jacksonville, Florida. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized. He attended the local schools in Duval County, graduating from Matthew W. Gilbert, Class of 1961; he also attended Edward Waters College. He has five sons and one daughter.

Robert departed this life on Thursday, November 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Williams and Mary E. Williams.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: a daughter, Jacqueline Wilson; sons, Robert Williams, Jr., Michael Williams (Nubko), Maurice Williams (Shirley), Ersell Williams, Rodney Williams and Carlos Taylor (Hope); sixteen grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Emmett Williams; other relatives and friends.

We are sorry to hear of Robert Lee’s death. May your comfort lie in knowing that the Bible offers a bright future for him. John 5:28-29 states that “the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus’ voice and come out.” Psalm 37:29 assures us that “the righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.” Isaiah 25:8 promises that “our Sovereign Lord Jehovah will swallow up death forever” so his obedient children will never die again. Rejoice in the hopeful future that Robert Lee can look forward to!

Jesus said at John 11:25, 'I am the resurrection and the life'. Jehovah has granted his son Jesus Christ the power not only to resurrect the dead but also to impart eternal life.

At Revalation 1:18, Jesus calls himself “the living one,” who has “the keys of death and of the Grave.” Jesus is our hope for the living and the dead. He promised to open up the tombs and give the dead life, either in the heavens as his 'Corulers' or 'Everlasting Life' on earth ruled by his heavenly government.—Joh 5:28, 29; 2Pe 3:13.

So when your love one return to life, on this earth would you like to welcome them back. This promise is a gift made for all to read in your copy of the Bible at John 3:16 and Romans 6:23.
